This month, ROW recognizes Emily Scott for her leadership on ROW’s Economics Element Committee. She is currently the Economic Development Program Officer for LISC Indianapolis and brings this expertise to ROW’s work along Indy’s waterways.
Scott has been involved with ROW for 4 years and was elected Co-Chair of the Economics Committee in 2017. In Summer 2018, the Economics Element organized ROW’s Development Forum bringing together economic development professionals from several fields with on-the-ground waterway advocates. The resulting Development Accelerator will provide pro bono technical assistance to community development actors and property owners, connecting them to critical resources that make site redevelopment possible in ROW waterway neighborhoods.
Besides her professional interest, Scott enjoys kayaking and exploring waterways in Indy and beyond. She hopes to find more opportunities to “get [her] feet wet, literally and figuratively, with ROW this year!”
Thank you to Emily Scott for pushing our Economics Element into direct action with our waterways!
