This month, ROW thanks Megan McKinney Cooper for taking the helm as Co-Chair of the revitalized Well-Being Element Committee last year.

McKinney Cooper is Communications Director with JumpIN for Healthy Kids, a Central Indiana-focused nonprofit that works to create healthy places, neighborhoods, and communities where families have real access to healthy food and meaningful opportunities to play and be active. Our waterways are ideal avenues to bring together these efforts to improve quality of life.

“My organization, Jump IN for Healthy Kids, has been involved with ROW for several years but with staff transition, had lost its connection,” says McKinney Cooper.  “My work includes engaging our community with the built environment to foster physical activity and healthy habits; this was a natural fit.”

Thank you Megan McKinney Cooper for leading the Well-Being Committee and your perspective on waterways’ intersection with the health of our communities!
