This month, ROW recognizes Lisa Milton for her steadfast engagement with the White River Committee. As the Assistant Operations and Property Manager for White River State Park (WRSP), Milton has been working with ROW directly for three years.

Milton first collaborated with ROW and partners to establish Butterfly Sanctuary plants in the Urban Wilderness Trail. She is also the Vice President of the White River Alliance (WRA), and recently helped to facilitate the Stairs to the River Project, which cleared beautiful viewsheds of the White River and improved access for events and first responders along the waterway. She has worked closely with the White River Committee Co-Chair and founder of the Urban Wilderness Trail, Greg Harger ,throughout.

“The opportunity to use my knowledge and skills as an Environmental Scientist to have direct, measurable impacts on the sustainability of our local water resources is the most rewarding aspect of my participation with ROW,” said Milton. “ROW helps me to feel intellectually stimulated and lets me know that I am making a positive impact in our community.”

Thank you Lisa Milton for contributing your knowledge, skills, and dedication to our waterways and to the ROW collective!
