This month, ROW recognizes LaShawnda Crowe Storm for her multi-faceted, creative and tireless contributions as an artist and community activist.

Crowe Storm has been with ROW for over 5 years. She currently serves as a member of the Steering Committee, is Co-Chair of the Aesthetics Element Committee, and participates in the Central Canal Waterway Committee.

She has always loved the environment and got involved with ROW at the urging of another ROW Steering Committee member, Jim Walker, of Big Car. Recently, she is most proud of the work ROW has done connecting with youth and schools.

“All the years we, as a group, have invested in getting the word out, changing our communities’ perspectives on embracing water is only transformative once we start building the next generation of Water Babies to move the work forward.”

Thank you LaShawnda Crowe Storm for your insights and commitment to making change along our waterways!
