As a resident-leader in Christian Park, Harlon Wilson has brought energy, passion, and practicality to the Pleasant Run Committee these past two years.

Wilson’s involvement with ROW’s Pleasant Run Committee inspired the Christian Park community to vision their future around their neighborhood waterway. With Pleasant Run positioned at the “heart of the community”, Wilson has helped Christian Park build a strong foundation for sustainably-focused neighborhood improvement.

The Pleasant Run Reclamation Initiative kicked off with an effort to clear a section of the waterway where Indy Land Stewardship had cut invasive plants and begin creating a space where neighbors can enjoy the new views of the waterway. This work complemented Christian Park’s designation last year as Keep Indianapolis Beautiful‘s Great Indy Cleanup Neighborhood. The Pleasant Run Committee looks to build a true waterway destination that serves as a gateway to the Christian Park community.

Unfortunately, Harlon Wilson recently had to step back from some of his many leadership roles. We have been so grateful for his contributions to ROW’s collective through thoughtful insights powered by active, on-the-ground engagement along Pleasant Run. Thank you Harlon Wilson!
