This month, ROW recognizes Ethan Olson for going the extra mile promoting invasive removal and native planting work on our waterways. Olson has served as a member of the Ecology Element Committee since 2015 and is Director of Native Landscapes at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB).
Olson contributes valuable knowledge from his experience working with KIB’s Urban Naturalist Program and leading volunteer invasive species removal projects throughout Indianapolis.
“It’s really rewarding to work alongside some many different individuals all working towards the improvement of ecological conditions and human connectivity to our water,” Olson said. “It’s been a blast to learn new things from my colleagues and teach our public citizens about our environmental issues related to water.”
As Co-Chair of the Ecology Committee since 2017, Olson has recently helped create an invasive removal guide for the residents of Indianapolis, set to launch online in early 2019.
Thank you to Ethan Olson for your boots-on-the-ground work in invasive removal and service to ROW’s Ecology Committee!
