ROW welcomes our newest Steering Committee member, Community Health Network, represented by Grant and Proposal Writer Martha Henn.
“Prior to my work at Community Health Network, I did community development work in Near West Indy, where I had opportunity to engage with the White River ROW Committee,” said Henn. “The opportunity comes at a time when Community Health Network is expanding its population health efforts and partnerships in the community, and I am super-charged to represent Community in this way.”
Henn was inspired by ROW’s collective approach, including strong partners that bring a holistic perspective to waterway wellness work. Community Health Network has worked on the Eastside to promote increased quality of life and access to prevention and care. Community was also chosen by the City of Indianapolis and Indy Parks in an innovative health initiative through Broad Ripple Park along the White River.
“Personally, since 2011, I have lived in two homes that are each one short block from the White River,” said Henn. “A relationship to that waterway has enriched my life with family and pets, enhanced my environmental awareness, and I have delighted in sharing the life of a waterway through all the seasons of the year, year after year.”
Welcome to the ROW collective, Martha Henn! We are excited to widen ROW’s impact through healthy connections to our waterways.
