While we are looking forward to new and exciting things happening in 2019, ROW a lot to celebrate from this past year’s successes! Below are just some of the ways to see how we connected Indy residents to their waterways through awareness and direct action in 2018.

736 individuals volunteering through committees and events.

$73,380 awarded to waterway projects, including bike tours and A Rising Tide initiative.

1 academic publication in progress looking at the effects of invasive species removal.

3 videos created to tell waterway stories.

8 original printed articles, including a new regular monthly article in the Urban Times.

13 educational and fun events along the waterways including several river floats, a “Day of the Deadheading,” flash sledding, and multiple art and science adventures.

3.7 acres of habitat restoration with our partners and committee members.

8 art installations and 5 artist-led events providing unique perspectives on our waterways.

Thank you to all of our committee members, volunteers, community leaders, and collective partners for making these achievements possible!
