ROW is celebrating Indy Convergence, a local arts organization working in the Near West community along the White River. The mission of Indy Convergence is to embolden and connect artists and communities from all backgrounds to each other in an inclusive, collaborative environment. As Waterway Liaison for the White River Committee, Indy Convergence supports grassroots project development and implementation along this waterway.
Indy Convergence just launched its innovative A Rising Tide initiative this summer. This non-invasive, mobile arts district provides participants unexpected adventures employing an all-terrain stage or floating stage to bring Indy audiences to the banks of the White River.
The inaugural season of A Rising Tide previewed at the White River Vision Plan Launch event on June 7, and officially kicked off June 20 with renowned hoop dancer Tony Duncan performing with Indy’s largest waterway as backdrop. The next show featured local bands Palace and Sweet Poison Victim performing on a floating stage July 19. Get your ticket today for the August 30th show for another enchanted, unique experience!
A Rising Tide was seeded through a $50,000 grant from ROW’s Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust White River Fund.
