• A unique partnership among Wendell Phillips School 63, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and Groundwork Indy is restoring and creating healthy waterway habitats, providing enriching experiences for students along the White River. Last month, Groundwork Indy’s Green Team worked with students to install a monarch waystation, rain garden, and sensory garden at the school, and teachers will also be trained in the new water quality improvement resources.
  • ROW partner Indianapolis Art Center (IAC) has recently planted an innovative Demonstration Dye Garden with the help of dedicated volunteers. This dye garden includes native plants such as Marigold, St. John’s Wort, Sunflower, and Hibiscus, and will provide IAC textile artists and students with natural dyes. IAC’s ArtsPark along the White River is free and accessible to the public from dawn to dusk. IAC invites people to enjoy the art and gardens and to come watch the new dye garden grow!
