Enjoy hot cider, show off your costume, and go home with native flower seeds at the Day of the Deadheading event along the White River on October 27th from 9 – 11 a.m.
Learn about the beneficial reasons for “deadheading,” or removing spent flowers from plants and collect these native seeds to use in your own yard or community space next season. You will also have the opportunity to participate in an invasive species removal demonstration. The event will progress along three sites, including:
- Indiana State Museum (starting at 9 a.m.),
- Eiteljorg Museum native gardens, and
- Urban Wilderness Trail Monarch Sanctuary.
The event begins at the Indiana State Museum location at 9 a.m. Parking available in the underground garage at regular fees.
