The Reconnecting to Our Waterways collective impact initiative sunsetted in 2024.

Reconnecting to Our Waterways

ROW was a collective impact initiative that worked purposefully from 2012 to 2024  to improve the quality of life and ecology along Indianapolis waterways and surrounding neighborhoods.

Waterways We Served

We walked alongside communities to discover and celebrate their waterway as a community asset. We focused on the six waterways in Marion County: Central Canal, Fall Creek, Little Eagle Creek, Pleasant Run, Pogue’s Run, and White River.

Who We Were

ROW convened and supported community partners to enhance quality of life, investing in innovation, analysis, cultural advancement and environmental quality along Indy waterways and in adjacent neighborhoods.

What We Did

Our members created new ways for the public to engage with our waterways through organizing fun events, creating innovative programs, providing technical assistance to communities, implementing physical improvements, and more.
