The Economics element aims to recognize and develop strengths within each targeted ROW Focus Area and collaborate with all stakeholders to create opportunities for economic growth.

Measuring Success

 

Metric Increase capital investment within ROW Focus Areas
Goal 10% Increase in residential property tax base, commercial property tax base, and business personal property tax base within ½-mile of waterways by 2020
Outcome Increase city tax base

 

 

Metric Increase brownfield parcels’ assessments, remediation, and/or redevelopments within ROW Focus Areas
Goal 70,000ft of brownfield area assessed, remediated, and/or redeveloped within ½-mile of waterways for overall ROW Focus Areas by 2020
Outcome Land remediated and prepared for other uses
